"I like this a great deal, especially considering the price. The oak handling is a bit blunt, but there is so much to like from the suave, aromatic nose of violets, blueberry coulis, nori and clove, to the layered and dense palate that does not, for an instant, slip into the melodrama of heat or jammy fruit. There is flavour, depth and considerable sophistication on offer. A long, peppery finish, to boot. A full-weighted wine, yet vibrant, detailed and worthy of taking one's time."
